WeightPlot.com is owned by WeightPlot and links to the WeightPlot app. This page explains that relationship, how the site is paid for, and what that does and does not change about the guides.
Who owns this site
WeightPlot is a free calorie counter and weight tracker at weightplot.com. It was built by SitePlot Media, a web development company founded by Andre Skeete, who also writes the guides here. The resource site exists to answer the questions people have while tracking, and to introduce readers to the app.
How the links to the app work
Guides include links and panels inviting you to try WeightPlot. Those links carry a short campaign tag in the address so WeightPlot can count, in total, which guides bring people to the app. Nobody is identified by these tags, and they do not follow you to any other website.
How the site is paid for
The site is paid for by its owner. It does not currently run display advertising, sell sponsored placements, or use affiliate links. If that ever changes, this page will be updated first, advertising will be clearly separated from the guides, and any affiliate or sponsored link will be labeled where it appears.
What the relationship does not change
- Guides answer the question asked, including when the answer involves something the app does not do.
- Guides about apps and trackers compare features and limits, not brands.
- No other company can pay to appear in a guide, to be described favorably, or to have criticism removed.
- Supplements, diet pills and weight-loss programs are not promoted.
